THE CHALLENGE

Design a poster and t-shirt design for a community culture conference, featuring various topics and issues.

CONCEPT

The concept of diversity is represented in our poster through the illustrated hands. These hands were created with an expressive style emphasizing individuality and uniqueness of our diverse communities. The varying shades of blue behind the hands represent our world, blue also denotes trust, loyalty, freedom, and sensitivity. The orange represents change, determination, freedom, and expression. These are all important aspects of the CRCC conference which aims to explore how to support and empower these groups affected by oppressive behaviors. The maroon color brings passion, courage, and determination of red combined with the wisdom, dignity, devotion, and ambition of purple. Through our overlapping shapes, diverse communities of people become unified. The poster’s background color is off-white symbolizing hope and peace that the CRCC conference provides.
